Actual state of the problem of life-endangering ventricular arrhythmias is discussed.
During the last decades, biophysical studies led to the comprehension, that one of basic
heart function is heart autowave function side by side with heart contractile
function. Heart autowave function disorders suggested to put into the base of modern heart
arrhythmias classification. A promising method for the heart disease diagnostics
using ECG is the analysis of transformed electrocardiograms. Within the bounds
of the analysis of transformed electrocardiograms, it was suggested a new mathematical approach
titled differential electrocardiographic morphometria (DECGM).
Key words: polymorphic ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, autowaves, electrocardiogram analysis
